One crewneck. Three ways. Recently, I received Cozy Hype’s “WE COZY” crewneck. In a vintage-washed forest green, I immediately thought of the various ways I could style this closet staple. With a fit inspired by sweatshirts from the late-80s/early-90s, I couldn’t wait to add a modern touch to a timeless piece. Here’s how I would style the crewneck in various situations:
Fraternity Prep
The key to styling a preppy look is to experiment with layering and mixing patterns. For my look, I layered the crewneck on top of a light blue pinstriped button down. Paired with dark slim fit denim, the crewneck’s forest green hue stands out, while perfectly blending into the cool colour scheme of my look. I topped my outfit with a gingham dad coat which adds the perfect contrast against the collar of the pinstriped shirt. This is an effortless look that remains youthful and refined.
New York Nights
New York City is all about off-duty style. This is where I love to incorporate the latest trends and bright colours. I kept this outfit very simple: black ankle-cropped slacks and an aviator bomber. The look is elevated with bright colours that contrast the crewneck’s forest green hue. The orange lining of the bomber emphasizes a vintage utilitarian feel, while the yellow crossbody camera bag adds a modern, on-trend twist. This look is extremely versatile from day to night.
SoulCycle Sundays
It’s no secret that I am a huge advocate for athleisure. Thankfully, the crewneck fits the deal. Paired with slim joggers and a puffer jacket, this outfit is ideal for a quick workout and even a coffee run. I love how I don’t need to spend long in the locker room as this look is practical, yet stylish. Topped with a baseball cap, a gym bag and a water bottle, this outfit definitely encourages my new active lifestyle this new year.
There you have it: three ways to style a closet essential. From ivy league classrooms to running errands in SOHO to sweating at the gym, these styles have you covered from dawn ‘til dusk. Have you purchased your Cozy Crew yet? I’d love to see how you style it! Let me know if you enjoyed this lookbook and if I should do more!
Candidly,
