February has come and gone, which means my first month of work has been successfully accomplished. Although work had some stressful moments, the following items helped me feel confident and organized through new challenges. This month’s favourites consist of my go-to products that help boost my mood during the workweek.
The Leather Sneaker
Personally, I believe February has the worst weather. In between warmer days, later sunsets and random snow storms, these fluctuating conditions take a toll on my footwear game. As someone who avoids wearing boots at all costs, my mom came up with the fabulous idea to purchase a pair of cheap sneakers to wear to work and brace the forecast. These Club Monaco sneakers are a good, affordable substitute to expensive iterations. I don’t feel bad getting them dirty and they look great with every outfit.
The Original Crossbody Bumbag
We all know I love a crossbody bag. Composed of sturdy nylon, this Hunter bumbag is the perfect size to keep all my essentials needed for work: chargers, sunglasses, wallet etc. The inside is lined with several compartments and comes with a durable hook where I can hang my AirPods. Besides the fact that I purchased it on sale, I was immediately drawn to the neon blue shoulder strap that adds an unexpected pop to an outfit. Due to extreme style and practicality, it’s a no-brainer that this accessory made the list.
The Signature Hoodie
by Saint Laurent (Outlet: $400)
This sweatshirt is extremely convenient. Besides its tailored fit and impeccable softness, my YSL hoodie has saved me from looking a complete mess in public. At times, when I feel gross, ugly or unconfident, I just throw this piece on and I feel and appear more put-together. Many tend to misinterpret wearing designer items as dressing up. If that’s the case, then the signature logo hoodie elevates my bum days into haute couture.
Infusion D’Iris
by Prada ($160)
If you are in the market for a new scent, then I highly recommend Prada’s Iris. The scent sprayed inside every Prada boutique, the fragrance contains hints of iris, manadrin, cedar and neroli. It’s definitely a fresh take on the “fresh laundry” smell and lasts for several days when sprayed. In fact, because it is pretty expensive for a 100 mL bottle, I’m glad that a single spray is more than sufficient to last from dawn until dusk.
February has come and gone, however these products are here to stay. These items have definitely played an integral part in my personal style, grooming and commute to work. Feel free to send me an email if you have any questions or if you want to share some of your February faves!
Candidly,
Jonah
